What I can help with
My Approach to Therapy
She is trained in Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and integrates mindfulness and emotional regulation techniques into everyday life to foster deeper, more meaningful relationships. Betty values self-care and understands the importance of balancing work and wellbeing—something she practices herself through gardening and spending time with her three energetic grandchildren. She is also an active volunteer in causes aligned with her personal values. With lived experience caring for both a child with disabilities and an adult with complex mental health challenges, Betty brings genuine empathy and insight to her work. Her therapeutic style is open, accepting, and grounded in curiosity about the richness of human experience.
